Addressing the Global NCD Crisis
Non-communicable diseases kill over 41 million people annually. We're taking action.
The Challenge
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are responsible for 74% of all global deaths—over 41 million lives lost each year. The burden falls heaviest on low and middle-income countries.
NCDs increasingly affect the world's poorest communities, driven by lifestyle "westernization," population aging, and unhealthy dietary patterns promoted by commercial interests.
Mongolia and Bhutan face urgent threats from rising NCD rates linked to poor nutrition—making them critical focal points for intervention.
Our Solution
NUTRIHubs4NCDs establishes 4 training and laboratory centers—NutriHubs—in Mongolia and Bhutan to train professionals in nutrition-related NCD prevention and management.
We're modernizing academic curricula, offering professional development courses, and building the infrastructure needed for sustainable health education.
Through international collaboration, we're creating lasting capacity to fight NCDs through evidence-based nutrition interventions.
